ABOUT LOUISA
Louisa studied Italian and Philosophy at the University of
Leeds, before training as a spa therapist. Graduating at the
top of her class, she started working in top London spas
before developing her own business with a VIP client base.
A long time practitioner of yoga, Louisa realised that
helping her clients often involved mindfulness work, so
yoga teacher training naturally followed. To extend her
skills, she qualified as a personal trainer with the National
Academy of Sports Medicine. Louisa works holistically with
a variety of expertise, helping clients to feel their best, both
physically and emotionally. Louisa is based in the south of
France with her husband and three sons.
YOGA
Louisa first experienced yoga as a child, accompanying her
mother to classes. A keen traveller, she continued to practice
a variety of styles depending on what classes were available
wherever she was in the world. A big fan of Bikram, and then
Ashtanga yoga in London, Louisa trained with Global Yoga
Shala in the Sacred Valley in Peru to gain her yoga teaching
qualification. Whilst in Peru, she took the opportunity to
study and learn from local ancient shamanic practices. Since
then, her personal practice has had to adapt to fit around the
birth of two children family life. Her yoga practice remains a
very necessary daily tool to maintain her physical and mental
health, a tool she passes on to her students through her
personal teaching style. Louisa’s classes start with
techniques to calm and focus the mind, followed by dynamic,
creative flow, closely focusing on the anatomy and needs of
the individual student. Her classes are designed to make the
practice suit the individual’s body and needs. The yoga
session always ends with time for contemplation and a full
relaxation at the end.
MASSAGE THERAPY
It shouldn’t just be an indulgence, a luxury when we’re on holiday or an occasional remedy for stress, aches and
pains. Massage therapy should be part of our regular routine for optimal health, just like cleaning one’s teeth or
exercising. The human touch has profound power to heal and comfort, more than modern science is able to
explain, and in the hands of the right practitioner, the benefits can be life changing. With over 12 years of
experience, Louisa designs a personalised treatment for every client, combining aromatherapy, deep tissue work,
reflexology, Indian head massage, reiki, Balinese massage, Ayurvedic techniques, pressure point, Thai and
Swedish, as well as pre and post natal treatments
